WORKOUT VIDEO
Dear Students,
You have been asked to create a workout video for your peers. You may have a maximum of 4 people in your group. Each group member is required to exercise and speak throughout the entire video.
INSTRUCTIONS: Please email me the following steps at the end of class period at [email protected]
* Step 1 - decide the goal of the workout video. What benefit do you want your peers to gain from performing your workout (i.e. what is your fitness
goal- use the attached sheet to decide the goal)
* Step 2 - How are you going to achieve this goal? What type of workout program are you demonstrating (i.e. Circuit training, cross fit, plyometrics,
weightlifting, cardiovascular fitness, strength training, combination of cardio and ________)?
* Step 3 - List and explain the exercises that will specifically target the following muscle groups:
X Deltoids
X Biceps
X Triceps
X Back
X Pectorals
X Pectorals
X Quadriceps
X Hamstrings
X Gastrocnemius
X Abdominals - 200 total, at least 5 variations
X Heart - cardiovascualr at least 20 min.
* Step 4 - List all the materials/ equipment that is needed for your workout (i.e. mats, weights, heart rate monitors, resistance bands, medicaine balls,
etc...)
* Step 5 - List the stretches that you will be demonstrating, for the muscles listed above.
* Step 6 - Explain why the warm-up and cool-down are important and what you will be doing as a warm-up and cool-down in your video.
******The above info must be typed and turned into me before you can start videotaping******
VIDEO DIRECTIONS:
* Step 1 - Introduce your video name and type of workout program
* Step 2 - Introduce yourselves
* Step 3 - Begin components of workout:
- Warm-Up
- Stretch
- Workout (must be at least 20 minutes)
- Cool-downs
Extra Instructions:
* You and your program members will take turns talking throughout the video
* You need to explain the importance of exercise
* Explain the correct form for each exercise
* Include all the information from instructions above somewhere throughout video (Steps 1-6)
* The more facts you include the more points you will receive
